Ever since she was 3 Lucy's LOVED MUSIC !

At a camp when Lucy was 13 the desire to play guitar drew her like a magnet. Asking, begging her folks for one they took her to Sears.....
That guitar was played 4 years. After that her dad took her to a "real" music store and bought her a guitar that she still has today, along with others. With the music she made came the love of words ~

It was an 11th grade English teacher that encouraged Lucy to send in a poem she had written for a nation wide poetry contest of high school students. She won! It was published; her writing abilities took off !

Through the years she continued to "hone her craft" guitar and writing.

The two went hand in hand

Getting married, raising a son named Jasper-having him move out when he
was older.... she now had a window of opportunity open.

After reading about an "open mic night" at a local coffeehouse Lucy took her handful of songs, a bit of courage and went and sang with all her ART.

Sure she had sung in church or at a friend's house but this was different!
That was 3 days before the end of 1996. Needless to say she's still at it!

In the years since she has been on many radio stations because she made a dream come true CD titled, "IN MY OPINION".

ACOUSTIC CAFE a renowned radio program out of Ann Arbor Michigan featured her with 4 others on a segment titled, "Some of the Best Un-signed Artists in the Country".

She was a finalist in 98's LILITH FAIR Talent search in her home state of Michigan. She was one of fourteen chosen to audition.

Also she's been featured on Laney Goodmans WOMEN IN MUSIC syndicated radio show several times since 98, plus others.

Lucy's got to open for Lynn Miles, Johnsmith, Jennifer Kimball, Jude, Brooks Williams, Peter Mulvey, Straight Ahead, Jack Williams.....

She's also on TAYLOR GUITARS "Discover the Indies" website....etc.

I'd say this Tennessee born -Pennsylvania raised woman ( after graduating moved to Grand Rapids MI ) has years of life's experiences to do nothing but ADD to her already great singer songwriting abilities. You'd do well to give her a listen. What do you hear? "I will set my ear to catch the moral of the story and tell on the harp how I read the riddle".

LUCYWEBSTER- KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED- new release!
3 and a half years have passed since singer songwriter LUCY WEBSTER put out her first CD titled- IN MY OPINION.

Once again Lucy has opened her journal and allowed us to see and hear her honest thoughts. She coins her style as- folk music that's all revved up!

Her latest endeavor titled- KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED is a long awaited mix of songs.

She's quoted saying Life is one hard knock after the other with a little good sprinkled in between, it's kind of what the CD is all about.

The music on KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED took over a year to record. This is art and sometimes art takes time. I love all the tunes on this disc. A lot of tears have spilled in the last few years, it's like oil- it makes the music flow to your heart better.

Lucy has been on a writing spree for the last 4 plus years and has collected enough material for several more CD's. I write in all different styles, it's been fun watching the process. I'll write something, sit back and think; man I really like this. The gift is overwhelming at times....

KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED was the perfect title Webster says for a second project. There's a tad bit of wonder what folks will say, think- we all want to be accepted, understood... but more than that I believe that life will throw us curves and we need to be reassured that things will change sooner or later. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED is a sign of hope plain and simple. I choose to be optimistic that things will eventually work out for good, even though life is hard. That's the spirit I'd like folks to hear, they in turn can keep their fingers crossed and be encouraged one more day. Music is a wonderful healer.

The disc has Lucy playing 2 solo acoustic guitar pieces while the rest of the 10 songs are full arrangements including mandolin, fiddle, fretless bass, drums, electric/acoustic guitar, marimba, accordion and even hammer dulcimer.

Guest appearances are made by- Brooks Williams, Jan Krist and David Mosher. Local friends playing along are Pete Bardolph, Rick Devon, Charlie Hoats, David Molinari, Al Thayer, Jay Round and Tom DeVries.
