Somewhere during the Indian summer of 2002....Ghent was suffering from a major lack of coolness. Luckily a bunch of inspired souls ran into each other and noticed they could only communicate through music.

They started composing, sparred with the everyday demon and won. Songs came. And the need for a name: Barbie Bangkok.

Not a doll, or an overly flexible toy-girl, but a band. In the true sense of the word. Three guys and a girl. In unity and harmony. Barbie Bangkok - think of it what you like, but keep it decent - started playing in pubs and other public places.

Their innovative songs pierced though the hearts of many and attached themselves to the inner ear. Musical glue! The Ghent (Belgium) based label Kinky Star fell for their music and decided to produce their first EP "Oh My God!"

Oh My God! Indeed. Released in December 2003.

Talking about style: enhanced poprock, on a lovely-sounding guitar and wave-synth foundation. Backbone is a fat-ass rhythm section, with two angelic voices as topping. They rock ass!
