"Bittersweet acoustic pop, they make it seem easy... aloneme should be around for a long time..." (said Pius Meagher in the 'Kilkenny People', during aloneme's 2003 tour of Ireland)

aloneme is essentially three people: the song-writing partnership and interweaving vocals of singer Sarah Springett and multi-instrumentalist & singer David Booth, plus the solid, subtle, often understated foundations of highly respected drummer, percussionist & programmer Simon Edgoose. Recently, this core has been complimented by the addition of the classically-trained Liz Townsend on Cello, Piano and backing vocals.

The band have toured continually since their inception in early 2003, taking in over 150 gigs from London to Dublin, Southend to Stourbridge and many places in between. The hard work has paid off and their reputation as a must-see live band inevitably continues to grow.

Add to this strong radio support from BBC and independent commercial stations across UK & Ireland... aloneme are starting to reach some of the huge audience that their "brilliantly penned and well thought out songs" obviously deserve.

Self-produced mini-album 'paperlake' is the third and most confident studio release from aloneme, and consists of six new songs recorded during the summer of 2005, plus a live recording taken from the band's sold-out March '05 headline gig at the incredible High Barn venue (www.high-barn.com).
'paperlake' was released on October 1st 2005 through Sarah & David's Nettle Records label (www.nettlerecords.com).
