Reece Lindberg began playing guitar at the age of 15 and recorded his first CD just a few years later. No stranger to the coffee shop scene in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN, Reece played to packed houses based on word-of-mouth alone. Additionally, he landed a spot opening for Canadian singer-songwriter Emm Gryner (known mainly for her vocal contributions to Rob Zombie and David Bowie recordings) In 2000 he released his first album, "Zero Hour," which was a unique blend of electronic beats and acoustic guitars. His new release, "Photographs," was written entirely during his first year of college in Chicago and expands on the sound of the first album, covering completely new areas of lyrical matter. The words are clever and biting, and the music is infectious. Tracks like "Radio Friendly" and "Make Me Stay" will remind listeners of artists like John Mayer and Jason Mraz, but other songs, including "Good Shit" and "Drown," will hint at a much darker side to Lindberg. One thing that remains consistent in every song, however, is quality. You're almost guaranteed to love this record.
