All Genres > Pop > with Electronic Production > NEW CLEAR SPIDERS: Skull Ranch Sampler

More than half of this album was recorded in Brooklyn, New York, working by myself and with Lisa York as David:Lisa:Machine, with songs "Swing Bulb" and "We've Changed." The second half is an experimental work through which Skull Ranch has expanded into a few new varieties.

Now based in Cleveland, Ohio, and with a new female singer, Charlton the Owl, we have become New Clear Spiders and just released "I Believe In Mary Worth" via the Bloody Mary EP. Michael Bleep -- also from Brooklyn, New York -- and I -- Monkey Reynolds -- take turns in the background while Charlton fronts up the Spiders. On our own, Mike and I rattle around as a band we call The Skulls from time to time. He and I alone can bring you the spill-chilling hits "Happy Happy" and "Cornfield Stalker."

Of course I cannot have all this lit-up stuff around me and not use it when I wake up from a vision at 3 AM. So you can find more and more of my own solo work floating around, spanning back to my appearance on a Zugang Compilation Cassette from the Muncie, Indiana-based Zugang News in 1985 or so... Yes, I was in high school then.

The two halves are swirled together now, into one. Look towards your digital future; forget not your analog past.

Regards,
D. Monkey Reynolds, Curator
