Who is Alice Rose? Whoever’s caught this intriguing Danish singer performing live may find it difficult to answer this question because her electro-acoustic shows are always fresh and innovative. Sampler, drumcomputer, Casio keyboards and effects machines are strewn across the table while Alice plays the viola and sings in an achingly beautiful and mesmerizing voice. How she commands it all without eight arms is a mystery. Her repertoire stretches from folky easy-listening to modern electro, from lo-fi experimental to up-tempo dance. Like a chameleon, Alice Rose adjusts herself to the audience and the venue. Her first full-length release, Tales of Sailing, spans the wide range of her music, and displays her talent as a modern songwriter. Alice, originally from Copenhagen, Denmark has spend the past 7 years traveling and touring the world and has lived in Berlin, Prague, and Cologne, Germany, where she is currently based. She also has a base in San francisco, California, where she spends a couple of months a year. When She is not touring, Alice spends her time writing and recording new songs and scoring films. In her spare time she directs and produces music videos and short films.
