Houston based band SiennaBlu describes their beginning as complete chance, with each member being just another missing piece. Having devoted most of their lives to their craft, each player brings something unique to the band, and the band giving them something they never had before-a reason. Why else would 6 individuals from different states(even different countries) find themselves in the same room, discussing the same ideas, having the same vision, and striving towards the same goal. Songwriting began immediately and their first single "Wish Me Away" was released nationwide in 2004 with airplay approaching 200 spins/week. The radio campaign was headed by industry veteran Howard Rosen, who's LA based Promotion Company works with the worlds biggest acts. SiennaBlu found themselves being promoted alongside such acts as Hoobstank, Coldplay, and Fiona Apple. Indie labesl threw down their guns while a few major labels began to peek around the corner. Indie file makers also showed interest through SiennaBlu's internet music connection musicgorilla.com But here in 2005 SiennaBlu just signed a record contract with Houston indie labe MYTH Records. Despite prior interests from Arista and Sony, the group is determined to stay grounded. they have also released another single "Beneath Your Window", and with the help of Howard Rosen Promotion (LA) it is quickly being added into rotation nationwide.
