With the growing popularity of the "Detroit Sound," PBM, or Poor Boy Music, has emerged from the D-town norm of garage-rock, rap and hip-hop, and is surprising audiences with a fresh style and a unique, fun sound. Since the bands inception into the music world in 1997, this eight-member group had been producing a sound that has been best described as upbeat, horn-powered rock. The hard work of talented songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Nate Castle, and members Tom Torrento, Steve Zdanio, Garth Grawberg, Dave Jakubowski, Jerry Castle and Jeremiah Hoehner, has resulted in PBM's first full length, self-released CD, "Overview". PBM's music has been influenced by bands like Less Than Jake, Green Day and They Might Be Giants and is building a great fan base here in the states as well as in England. The September 2003 European tour produced the "Manchester Sessions" a 3 song EP to be released in October 2003. PBM's love of music, raw energy, mad enthusiasm and desire to have fun is evident in their music, especially their live performances.
