Lucas Paul was born on January 21st, 1982. He grew up in Marshall, Jackson, and Chelsea, Michigan, and is currently in Ann Arbor. In 1990 he started taking classial guitar lessons, and soon after bought his first Yamaha electric. In 1993, along with guitar lessons, Lucas and took up classical piano lessons. These training sessions lasted for over 5 years until his teacher suddently passed away. Since then, Lucas has been a singer/songwriter with a passion for all genres of music. While an undergraduate at Hope College, Lucas completed his first album, entitled 'In Between' that is a collection of his own contemporary piano pieces. Soon after, he bit the bullet and started to practice his vocals. His mentors kept telling him how big of an asset one's vocals can be in this business. His songwriting from there on out was more suited for his generation of pop music, and his sound continues to improve as he matures. In 2005, the album 'Fences' was self-released under his stage name, Lucas Paul. Lucas has just finished his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and he continues to write music and perform locally in Ann Arbor. At this point in his life, music is his passion, and he will continue to work and become the best that his ability will allow. A third album is loosely scheduled to be finished by October, 2006.
