With two self-produced EP's under her belt, Liz Pisco is ready to release her first full length recording entitled, "Gravity" . Co-produced by well known bay area mastering engineer Michael Romanowski, the official release date will be in March 2003. A true example of a do-it-yourself musician, Liz has been creating her own musical journey for the past ten years. Raz Kennedy, vocal coach for Counting Crows and others says of Liz's music,"Honest and authentic songwriting reminiscent of San Francisco rock of the 60's. Liz Pisco writes compelling lyrics and melodic vocals that are haunting and sweeping." Liz booked, promoted and performed on five tours in sixteen months from November 2000 - March 2002. Destinations included the Pacific Northwest, the Southwest and the West Coast with a few New York shows thrown in for good measure. This independent artist is working her tail off making two appearances in San Diego on KUSI's morning news program (viewership 70,000), signing a licensing agreement with MTV in March 2001 and as a featured artist on Bay TV's "The Show". Fulfilling a dream to play at the historic Great American Music Hall, Liz produced and performed at a benefit concert in her residing city of San Francisco. The show on February 10, 2002 raised nearly $1,000 for one of her favorite organizations, Planned Parenthood. When National Public Radio (NPR 88.5) was covering the art scene in San Francisco in November of 2000, they sought out Liz to represent the music scene. She played the title track to her self-produced CD, "Let Me In" live in her studio, was interviewed, and her song "I Don't Hear Anything" was used to close out the segment. As well as being chosen the "Artist of the Month" for October 2000 on www.shockvalue.cc and www.thatslive.com, Liz has performed numerous times on KUSF (90.3)'s Sunday morning radio program "diva radio". Her music has been played on other radio stations around the Bay area including KALX's (90.7) "What's Hot" show. Her song "Janet" was #8 on MP3's folk charts for 3 weeks. While Liz plans on spending the next few months primarily promoting her new CD and her release party, she will continue to play live with other artists in the bay area as well as the Pacific Northwest.
