Born in Washington, DC, within a year of her parents move from the island of Jamaica, and raised in the working class towns around the city, Letha dreamed of expressing her feelings about the world around her and longed to give voice to those thoughts in a way that would touch the spirits of others.

Soon after the turn of the new century, Like so many others before her, she became one of New York's teeming millions, dealing with the pressures of the "daily grind". The writing that had been a passion became a necessary, cathartic means of survival.

On stages around the city she soon found that her words not only made an impact in her life, but also had a strong effect on the people who listened. She began to discover her own unique style, a strong yet vulnerable blend of Jazz, Rythmn and Blues and Rock.

Letha began to develop her art and grew as a performer and songwriter, eventually captivating audiences across the country with her broad, truthful messages of Life and Love.

"The connection between the musician and audience is special, even mystical. It's a shared experience that affects the listener as well as the artist. I know the feeling I get on stage is like nothing else. It is my passion."

In an industry landscape that seems to push away from the traditions of music of the heart and soul, Letha's approach seems rare. But she is driven by her love for music and her desire to reach out to people through that music. On her way, Letha has developed into one of the most dynamic singer/songwriters to enter the scene.
