xj5000 is a shifting group of musicians from the U.K. and the USA , which probably means they are based somewhere in the mid-Atlantic, possibly off the coast of Iceland at an altitude of 37,000 feet. The genre could best be described as 'Other'. Drawn from influences future, present and past, stamped with personal flavours, xj5000 sometimes uses song form but not always. 'Levels of Imperfection' is purely instrumental unlike their first album - 'Cone of Silence'. The instrumentation includes the standard guitar, bass, keyboard format but goes further with more twisted sounds. Xj5000 believes that music still has meaning in a stimulated, money-hungry world.
