Singer/Saxophonist Christopher Creviston has played in Carnegie Hall with the Detroit Symphony, Prince's birthday party at Paisley Park, appeared live on BET's "BET on Jazz", and gigged the Apollo Theatre in Harlem with his own band, CRUSHED VELVET.

Christopher is internationally known as a player and teacher. He is presently on staff at the Greenwich House Music School in NYC, and has been on staff at the University of Windsor (Canada), and at the University of Michigan during Don Sinta's absence. He has been featured at clinics and conventions, beginning as an undergraduate student when he was a featured performer and clinician at the 1989 Dana Saxophone Symposium at Youngstown State University.

As a classical musician Creviston has toured and recorded with the Detroit Symphony, and played as a member of many other symphony orchestras. He was selected as winner of the North American Saxophone Alliance's Classical Competition, a finalist in the New York Concert Artist's Guild, finalist in the Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition, and has won numerous other competitions. He has appeared as featured soloist with many orchestras and bands, including his concerto debut playing Ibert's "Concertino da Camera" at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival at age 17, and his professional concerto debut playing Villa-Lobos' "Fantasia" with the National Symphony Orchestra. Christopher's teachers include Don Sinta, James Forger, Trent Kynaston and Rhonda Buckley.

He has appeared in concert with jazz names such as Jon Faddis, Bobby Shew, Bunky Green, Jim Snidero, Bob Mintzer, Steve Houghton, Vinny DiMartino, Dave Liebman and Marvin Stamm, and has had the pleasure of working with pop legends like Crystal Gayle, Maureen McGovern, Billy Porter, Ben Vereen and Kim Sozzi, as well as playing shows with jokester Bob Hope. Until her passing in 2001 he was on call for jazz chanteuse Peggy Cone.

Now based in New York City, Creviston leads and composes for his own band, tours nationally and records with rockabilly swing band Set'em Up Joe, works frequently with R&B/cabaret artist David Raleigh, and with the adult contemporary band Bluu. He also subs in the Capitol Saxophone Quartet, the Glass Farm Ensemble, and in the off-Broadway production of "Love, Janis..." In the words of world renowned cellist and conductor "Slava" Rostropovich, "Bravo!.. Bravo! Bravo!!..."
