“These are delicate, intricate songs, like little paper birds - drop dead gorgeous, and deceivingly innovative and complex.”

THE WALKING HELLOS are four multifarious Brooklyn musicians with eight instruments between them and a taste for mixing things up. An unpredictable and delectable fusion of the thoughtful, the raucous, the pretty, and the pounding.

MYLA GOLDBERG has been leading a double life for as long as she can remember. A musician as well as a writer, the best-selling author of Bee Season can be counted on for banjo-picking, melodic vocals, and the aforementioned accordion action.

VAL OPIELSKI is a musician and composer in whom everything from The Slits to Bela Bartok combines to deliver songs of deceptive complexity. Her innovative guitar sounds are a treat to the cerebral cortex and the Dead Kennedys fan who dwells therein. Just as likely to be found rocking a club as in musical residency with Pauline Oliveros, her past bands include Krakatoa and The Lost Art of Puppet Orchestra.

ROSE THOMSON has magic fingers that drive bass strings around the bend and curve keyboards to her whim. At her command, her vocal lines can soothe or drive the thorn into your side and make you plead for more. She branded the bass into the hide of indie-sensation Babe the Blue Ox, plays solo throughout the Big Apple, and gets her bluegrass on with the M Shanghai Band.

HEATHER WAGNER is a percussive force of nature, a drumming dervish whose driving rhythms have been known to cause palpitations and swoons of delight. American Pistil, Megababe, The Big Sleep, and Morex Optimo are just a few bands who have benefited from her beats.
