hi-desert/lo-fi records is proud to announce its second release, "Be In Fashion" by the Violet Rays. The Violet Rays are a side project of Gayle Fornataro and Rob Roberge (from Los Angeles/Long Beach's garage rockers The Hacks), and Kevin Barrett (from seminal LA punks The Urinals). If you like your rock lo-fi and melodic, then this might be the band for you. They've been compared (and sometimes even favorably) to The Replacements, The Jayhawks, Ryan Adams, Big Star and Elliot Smith. If you're in the LA area, drop them a line at the doublewidepress.com website to see when you can check their ragged brand of sludgy alt-countyish stuff. If you're not in the LA area, buy the CD, create a local following for these folks, and they may show up someday. Check out the artist's website: http://doublewidepress.com Track List: 1. Dallas 2.
