In days long ago when good and evil were equal on earth, there lived a man... a man of power. His name was Bill. People called him Bill for short. Bill fought the good fight. He helped people far and wide. Though Bill was good, he did have his bad days. No one is perfect. Bill's legend lives on in our band, because all good things must come to an end... thus becoming temporary. Our name conveys this truth. A truth which all fear, yet can not deny. We are who we are and in this we honor ourselves and Bill. We are not a part of our music; our music is a part of us. Every time you see us perform; every time you listen to our music; you are learning more about us. We are story tellers, poets, thieves and kings, with all the good and bad that brings. We are the Temporaries. (by todd temp...heheh..haha..AhhahhhAHHHAAAAHA....um.. ...okay, i'll stop now.) the Temporaries are: Jimmy, James, Shane, and Todd ALBUM REVIEWS:......... ........www.powerofpop.com (Kevin Mathews- Vol 2 # 10) Take it from me, seekers of the holy PoP grail, the Temporaries have loads to offer if you're searching for that manic pop thrill in a 3 minute song. Reminiscent of the 'Mats in parts & the Young Fresh Fellows in others, the latter especially in the humorous off-the-wall bits, Growing Up Slowly is the proverbial unpolished diamond as tracks like the punky "Went to...," the hilarious "Popular Song," the dynamic "Girl Problems" & the poignant "Grocery Man" fully attest. Check 'em out! (B) ........www.bangsheet.com (Kurt Hernon- May 6th 2002) - If the spot-on latter-day Ramones-ian "Went to..." ("Went to California / Navy bean my navy bean yeah") were the only thing these kids from Nebraska did right, well then they'd be okay by me. But the insanity of "Popular Song" (guys singing like girls? Whew!), a liner note thanks to "everyone else except for...the devil", and the brilliant everyman philosophy of "why does hair turn gray? Why do good people die? Why do bad people live their whole damn lives?" makes these bored Midwesterners small scale heroes who are chasing the cornpunk muse that only those 80's luminaries Great Plains ever seemed to pay heed to. (here are some show reviews if your interested) "...your energy, sense of fun, heartfelt songs, hooks/catchiness, and creativity are obvious, and made for a great show. Jimmy, you're a f**king loony! And it's AWESOME! I love your stage dynamics. Everyone has a different personality: Jimmy the showman, Shane the rockstar (totally serious!), James, the ... uh, drummer (hard for drummers to have personalities, because they're sitting down, yo), and Todd the minstrel." -show review by Katherine Wudel "Keep baffling the people; you guys are on to something." -show review by Dominick Capone Check out the artist's website: http://www.thetemporariesrock.com Track List: 1.
