The Kudabins have been together in New York City for about 5 years and we made the decision long ago to play music that we liked, unrestricted by genre or type. We have multitudinous influences, ranging from the Beatles, Elvis Costello, the Ramones and Bob Marley, all the way to John Coltrane, Phish, Metallica and the classic Motown groups. We dig Stravinsky. We dig Beethoven. We live music and at one point or another you will hear all our influences but we DON'T sound like those aforementioned greats: we have absorbed them into our being while trying to come up with something fresh that reflects our spin on the internal and external world.
