SYNOPSIS, CAST AND WRITERS.
Brief Synopsis: Two young Englishmen on holiday in Israel find inter-ethnic love, one with an Israeli girl, the other with a Palestinian girl.After some frightening adventures within the Arab-Israel conflict, they become the objects of the wrath of the girls' parents. Happy end, sort of.

THE CAST:
The cast are "t.a.c.t" (tel-aviv community theatre) players. They have appeared in productions of Chorus Line, Fiddler on Roof, Oklahoma, Barefoot in the Park, Broadway Bound, Arsenic and old Lace,
Lysistrata, The cherry Orchard and many others. They Are:

Daniel Schwartzman, who has been on the faculty of the Beit-Zvi theatre school since 1985. In the audio musical, "Shalom Salaam…" Daniel plays Ahmed, the Arab cafe owner.
Caron Tal studied at the Royal academy of drama in London. In "Shalom Salaam….." Caron plays Geula, the Jewish cafe owner.
Laurel Polansky hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In "Shalom Salaam" she plays two roles,that of Jessica, Geula's daughter,and Elly Martin.

Dorit Borgenstion hails from Holland. In the musical she plays Raeda, Ahmeds daughter.

Marc Schoen, also from Holland, directed the musical and
also plays Geof, one of the young Englishmen on holiday in Israel.

Melvin Simons is from England and wrote the play. He also plays Jo. the young Englishman in search of his father. He is not a t.a.c.t player.


THE WRITERS:
Melvin Simons Studied new writing under the celebrated William Gaskil at London's Royal Court Theater. Has written, co-produced and acted in cabaret's for Kibbutz Theater. Five of his plays were broadcast on Israel's national Radio network. "Shalom Salaam…" is his first musical. He has written many songs with Nathan (Nat) Cole, who collaberated on "Shalom Salaam……" which has eight of their songs.

Nathan (Nat) Cole has been Mr. Music since he was eight years old, when he played violin for the school band. He has played trumpet and violin in White Star Liner Orchestras. In America he played with Vaughan Monroe; in
England with Fats Waller, in gigs at Buckingham Palace a few times and often on the B.B.C. Nat has collaberated with Mel. Simons on many songs, eight of which are in their musical, "Shalom Salaam (or who's your father?)".
