Some Velvet Morning has dawned. Sweaty, and sweet.

SVM formed out of the ashes of Mark Starr's former trio, the punk country combo Pachucho, in 2001. Starr stumbled upon drummer David Domal, who was then playing with fuzz popsters Imaginary Posse, and the two played their first gig as a Hasil Adkins tribute. Fellow Posse member and keyboardist Brian Robertson joined soon thereafter to complete the trio, which quickly began playing their original brand of rock n' roll around the midwest out of their home base of Champaign, IL.

"...a very compelling blend of alt-country, electronic rock and artsy noise.... Entertaining from the outset to the end, I had a grin from ear to ear the entire time." --Eric Herboth, Independent Media Center
