Leon Kingstone has died. In his place, Synthetic Folk Hero proudly continues to push the wacky genre "Confounded Rock": a mix of Ween, Zappa, Shastakovitch and Weird Al Yankovic. SFH has plans to play his synthesizer "unplugged" on MTV and sing through his processed microphone at the Superbowl. Sure he's only existed for 6 months, but already he's toured Ontario and Quebec, opening for legendary Canadian bands such as Bob Wiseman and Damn Ugly Children, Martha Wainwright, and The Planet Smashers!

Many people call SFH "the hardest working solo act ever". He simultaneously controls 4 electronic devises, 2 saxophones, 2 microphones, and keyboards during his performances. A one man show with a HUGE sound, he uses props such as Barbie dolls and cutlery. SFH sings about freezing your tongue to your zipper, spooning, and peeing in the shower. His antics have caused audiences to cover their mouths with their hands, point and laugh, scream, and of course sing.

Is he synthetic? He does like synthesizer sounds. Is he folk? He'd like to think so. Is he a hero? Isn't everybody...deep down inside?

So check him out! Play him loud. Invite your mother-in-law. Don't smoke crack. For secret information, go to his website!!
