"THE Emeralds haven't slept since 2002 when they first got toghther.
Or so it seems, for they are rock'n roll samurai. pursuing their musical vision 24-7. Their first visit to SXSW in 2004 was a gratifying eye-opener for the band. Though getting excellent responses gigging in and around Tokyo, as well as appearing in summer rock festibals, the Japan Nite showcase privided an opportunity for the band to present their music to an international audience for the firsttime. The 300-strong audience responded to an extent that the Emeralds thought that night was a fever dream. Selling over 100 CDs after their set was "a total thrill" , according to Kazuya. Corresponding withcontacts overseas and new fans in America, as well as having songs played on US college radio, continues to spur on the band post-SXSW 2004.
August 2004, the Emeralds released their new album, "TALK ABOUT LOVE". and contributed Love Fire to the Japan Nite CD Sampler. like their previous work, Girls are Driving, Cranberry Classic, and Juliet. we are all in for a treat. Audience reaction has also been awesome for Their powerful ballad, The Girl Who loved Kurt Cobain.
Their music is fast and solid, withracing melodies. Kazuya's volcals soar high as Akio and Osuke show off what one awed Japanese concert reviewer called their "feasome chops" The Emeralds have gotten tighter than ever, and their stagecraft has a tension that drives their bravura performances. They are more than ready."
