The cousin duo - Holly and Ara - write, compose and perform the music, with live drums added by Marty. Their dynamic combination of punchy lyrics, infectious hooks and fierce vocals from femme fatale Holly and skinny rocker boy Ara - make a group that, for those in know, is something that cant be resisted. Mynx has performed around the world, from the countless Hollywood underground clubs, parties and events, to giant glamorous venues in Europe. No matter where, Mynx captivates audiences with their high-powered live act and have gaining much popularity with radio audiences, Hollywoods nightlife scene, and the cutting edge dance scene around the world. In the fall of 2004, Mynx made their radio debut on Los Angeles and Orange County's Indie 103.1 fm with their hit “I'm So L.A.â€. The song has quickly went to heavy rotation. "I'm So L.A." The following week, Mynx was LA Weeklys “Pick of the Weekâ€. Mynxs popularity is fortified by what the notorious Defamer.com calls “an extremely entertaining music video†- which is featured on the video page of the video page of this website. The video for “I'm So L.A.†has been televised on the Japanese TV show “Monitorâ€, and has also been accepted into the IFP Film Festival. Receiving thousands of hits daily, their website has been a huge tool in spreading their word. Mynx was featured as buzz band of the month in the November issue of Instinct Magazine, and will be featured in upcoming issues of IN Magazine and Blue Magazine. In February of 2005, Mynx made their British radio debut on BBC 1, BBC 6, and Londons Xfm with “I'm So L.A.â€. The timing was perfect! The following week, Mynx embarked on their fabulous Mynx Dynasty World Tour, with shows in Barcelona, London, Liverpool, Brighton, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Kicking off in Barcelona, Spain, with an over-the-top reception at Club Razzmatazz, Mynx debuted their act to European fans. With several shows in Europe and America, Mynx packed the houses with crazed fashionistas who simply could not get enough. Mynx fans being of the devoted sort, a new nightclub in Hollywood was named in their honor, serving perfectly as a landing pad from the tour, as well as the perfect place for a homecoming show. At Club I'm So L.A., Mynx gave their final performance of the Mynx Dynasty World Tour. Mynx is currently in the studio finishing the music video for their second single - “Dollar 99 Wineâ€. Mynx is currently an unsigned band, with no representation from mangers, agents or lawyers. Their popularity has spread by word of mouth alone.
