"Chemistry, History, and a little thing called Talent...
this is the band called LAST DECEMBER"

Great rock bands are a result of great chemistry between the players. Fronted by charismatic lead vocalist/guitarist Peter Argyropoulos with Adam Kury on bass and Scotty Kormos on drums, LAST DECEMBER is a compelling trio which understands that to make it onto the radar of an increasingly claustrophobic music scene, you've got to be serious, you've got to be original, you've got to know your sound, and you've got to be able to rock! Choosing their name LAST DECEMBER as a metaphor for how the past and the present carry different meanings in the history of music, LAST DECEMBER is a band where the brainy songs have weight and emotion, great hooks, and the musicians who created them can truly play. This is music which is equal parts content and spirit..... music with a history....timeless. And if their debut CD, WITHOUT WINGS, is any indication, LAST DECEMBER is on track to fashion its own piece of music history, today.

Citing influences from U2, Radiohead, the Stone Temple Pilots and Led Zeppelin, LAST DECEMBER knows that to achieve longevity, you've simply got to have a clear vision of who you are and where you're going. Although hailing from wildly diverse backgrounds- Argyropoulos is the son of a Greek immigrant who created the Cherokee brand of apparel, Kormos hails from Cleveland, Ohio, the rock 'n' roll capital of the world, and Scottish born Kury is a Navy brat who lived everywhere from Thailand to Germany- what the trio have in common is that their sensibilities are a startling hybrid of European flavor crossed with the American ethos of stone cold rock. Starting out on the coffeehouse circuit, Argyropoulos was looking to work with players who had an organic approach to their music. Having just come off of a European tour with Sony artist, Andrew Dorff, Kormos and Kury were ignited by the freedom that playing in Europe afforded them. When the trio got together and realized they shared the same creative instincts, their collaboration which started in the summer of '99, quickly yielded their debut release, WITHOUT WINGS.

Described by Argyropoulos as "textural, organic, and simple- no matter where you are, you know that sound...," LAST DECEMBER quickly gained national prominence when Virgin Megastores featured the band on a series of in-store performances, the first promotion of its kind for an independent band. Borders quickly followed suit with an in-store acoustic tour. Before long, songs from WITHOUT WINGS garnered further national attention by being featured on BEVERLY HILLS 90210, PARTY OF FIVE, DAWSON'S CREEK and other TV shows. With sales of nearly 5000 copies, WITHOUT WINGS continues to build a tremendous following via the internet and word-of-mouth. All this from guys in their twenties who have done it all without a major label deal.

Sexy, brainy, talented, original and currently on tour to achieve their goal of being a "career band," LAST DECEMBER has created an exciting new hybrid of Euro style, American ingenuity, melodic writing, compelling on-stage chemistry and a spark that mixes the history of the great rock-bands with a vision for the future.
