Review by Kevin Howell of the Carroll County Comet The high energy sound is quality with plenty of three and four part harmonies that blend nicely together. For Hat Trikk acoustic guitars mix well with electric sounds, and some cuts like "Getting Outta Bed," a hard-driving beat by drummer Raymond Fitzsimmons, and resonant bass guitar of Chris Keith, urges listeners to get up and move their feet. There's a pleasant interlude with the cut "Wild Mississippi," with its soulful sweet acoustic intro and heartfelt lead voice of Hoshaw. Every cut on the CD has meaning and comes from the heart of the writer and musicians. There is no "I've played this song so many times I forget what it's about' feel to the music, the sound is fresh and alive. The experience of age has widened the range of music the band incorporates into the package. One form the ages "Little Willie," will be familiar to at least two generations of music lovers. "Little Willie Willie won't go home, but you can't push Willie round Willie won't go...... Written originally by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, the song has been updated by the group and is full of the same energy as the rest of the CD. John Capps JONCAP PUBLISHING wrote Sounds like you guys could easily take over where "BOSTON" left off. Great CD... Great Sound Hat Trikk Rocks! Here is a review of a recent Hat Trikk Show in Indianapolis. Took in the Hat Trikk show last evening. Hat Trikk caught me WAY off-guard... They started the show by parading off the stage and into the sidewalks and THE MIDDLE of Broad Ripple Ave. A VERY HI Energy act! If you missed it you missed ONE HECK OF a show. Sorry about your luck! Hat Trikk will be performing Sun.7PM @ Neon Nites in Kokomo and next Wed. at Pierre's in Ft.Wayne. If you get the chance you WILL HAVE ALOT OF FUN ! My request is that Hat Trikk does a local encore performance of last night and I will PERSONALLY DRAG SOME OF YOUR AXXES TO IT ! DJ Papabear BASSISLOADED RECORDINGS WLFI TV 18 News out of Lafayette IN. did a profile on the band and their success. They also showed footage of Hat Trikk performing 2 songs from their new C.D. in the studio Hat Trikk is a 4-piece Rock-n-Roll band based out of Delphi IN. The band was founded in 1995. They quickly established themselves as one of the local favorites and began writing original songs. Their first CD was written and recorded in the winter of 1996-1997 and released in April of 1997. Some of the tracks found their way on college radio stations and military stations at Desert Storm. The group soon found itself spreading out further away from home and increasing their fan base. On Wednesday September 12th Hat Trikk and Transmatic will be performing at Piere's in Fort Wayne Indiana. This is the largest club in the mid-west with over 60,000 sq.ft and 30,000 watts of sound as well as Indiana's biggest computerized light show. With 3000 - 4000 fans expected, it's going to be a big event! Hat Trikk is also performing in more shows throughout the mid-west. They're a hard working band that is quickly moving forward!
