grayshot (brothers Aaron Ankrum-guitar/vocs, and Christian Ankrum-bass/bgv's) began playing together in 1999, when Aaron's current band was in need of a bassist. As the two relocated to the minneapolis area, they were forced to split ways with long time friend and drummer jon donnelly in 2003, who had been playing with them since the beginning. The fall of 2003 finds grayshot ready to realease their Untitled EP. The EP marks their first official release. They love making music, but it's obvious when performing that they don't take themselves or each other too seriously. What they do take seriously is making music that they are passionate about and that inspires hope. Their sound is on the driving side of power pop and draws upon their love for moving the listener.
