Godboxer is the new band led by Aaron Lippert, former lead-singer and songwriter for Expanding Man. Imagine Redd Kross if they had idolized the Who instead of the Beatles. Godboxer benefits from everything Aaron Lippert learned from two major label albums worth of writing and recording and from touring the U.S. and Canada in support of such artists as Stone Temple Pilots and Tonic. With hook-laden songs, a powerful voice and a muscular and seasoned band for spectacular delivery, godboxer has in a few short months of playing out garnered critical acclaim and a 2002 Boston Music Awards nomination for Outstanding New Rock Band. The power plant of the band consists of the incendiary drumming of Mike Levesque (David Bowie, Candy Butchers) and the driving and melodic indie-rock bass of Joe McMahon (Clairvoyants).
