LOUD FAST RULES! THIS WRECKARD ROCKS!!! A product of growing up punk in New York City, Fur was a poppy punk trio formed in the early 90's, fronted by the Sexy and Amazing Holly Ramos on guitar and vocals, sounding like a cross between Greg Gihn of Black Flag and Poly Styrene of Xray-Spex! The stunning Danusia Roberts on bass was like a female Dee Dee Ramone whom she later dated. Born in Communist Poland, she fled to america for political asylum and to meet Iggy Pop! The drummers rotated to keep up with these two creatures. The songs reek of bar rooms and clubs, sex and drugs, punk rock and roll decadence and great writing and playing! hard to believe it is only three people making this much music. The tone on the guitar and bass is shockingly good! This cd was originally released on the NYC hardcore label Blackout! records and was produced by Phil Caivano of Monster Magnet fame. The last track was featured in the film Margarita Happy Hour and was produced by Jesse Malin of Heart AttacK and D-Generation! Malin and Ramos were the founders of the new York city Rock n Roll Party the GREENDOOR! FUR played new york for years before touring the country and europe! FUR broke up in 1998.
