After years of playing in a number of different bands, brothers Clayton, Curtis and Cory decided that their mutual love for music could best be expressed by creating music together. It was this realization that led them to form Just Cause, a Sudbury-based punk rock group including Dan Lallande on drums in early 1996. The band's first and only album, "Open Road", showed great potential and featured a number of instantly recognizable (and danceable) songs, including fan favourites "Twenty Dollar Toast", "Untitled" and "Inspiration". Just Cause would go on to play many gigs and sell a fair amount of records before parting ways due to members moving away for different reasons. A year and a half went by before the three brothers decided to start playing music together again, this time choosing the name Existence is Song - representative of the role music plays in all of their lives. With a handful of new songs and continued interest from their label, Barcode Records, EIS recruited Jesse to play drums, and immediately started work on the new material. Existence is Song is a new beginning. It is music without boundaries, music that will remind you why you loved it in the first place. EIS are not trying to fit into any pre-determined genres or sell to any particular crowd; they're in it for the sole purpose of creating and performing the most sincere music possible. And as musicians mature, so too does their song writing. The collection of songs to be released on their upcoming EP on Barcode Records is proof of great things to come. Existence is Song...
