The debut EP from Clearly and the Mainstream, "It's Like...," takes the raw elements of white people appropriating white music for their own ends and turns it into a delicious, desperate mess. Some say the first song, "sounds like Elvis Costello." Others say the fourth song is "totally some song from the '80s." Either way, the music is undeniably poppy rock (as opposed to rocky pop).
