Abercrombie cook up their own version of modern rock circa late 70's Cheap Trick to 80's pop/punk ala The Cars to the 90's post grunge like Foo Fighters & Everclear while actually writing good meaningful story-telling songs. Been compared to Cake, Presidents, Weezer, Beck, etc... 'Porn Star', the first track off Comeback Kids, wins best lyrics overall and places #13 in the Final Round on the Garageband.com contest out of over ten thousand submitted songs. 'Porn Star' chosen for inclusion on a compilation of unsigned bands from SPA Records. Abercrombie chosen to perform at the 1999 and 2000 EAT'M music business convention in Las Vegas, NV.
