8 FOUNDead is a four-piece hard alternative rock act originally from the small town of Nodaway, IA. Formed in 1996, the band has released two studio albums, sold over 1,000 records, and logged nearly 100 live shows throughout the Midwest. The band features a unique three-guitar set up (no bass) and two primary vocalists and songwriters. 8FD's sound can best be described as straight up your ass rock--parts punk, parts pop, and parts grunge give this band a unique edge when one considers the staleness of today's mainstream rock. The band creates their music for themselves and for their fans and refuses to follow any trends just for the sake of being popular among the masses.

Over the years, 8FD has also developed a reputation for delivering high-energy live shows and makes a point to leave it all on the stage regardless if the crowd size is five or 500. In the summer of 2001, the band filmed their first video with Fourth Wall Productions out of Los Angeles, CA to be featured in the upcoming documentary, Villisca. The band's instrumental track "1912" will appear on the soundtrack for the film to be released in the summer of 2002.

In the fall of 2001, the band moved it's home base to Cedar Falls, IA where the band started their own record label, AM/FM Records and recorded the anticipated follow up to 1999's 12 FL OZ, Microwave Society. The new album features 8 hard upbeat rockers and demonstrates maturity in song writing and recording. The album was recorded at Catamount Studios in Cedar Falls, IA and was released in March 2002.
