585-16 sprang from a chance gig at the 1991 Arizona Music Conference in Phoenix, AZ, and led to a full length CD containing a collection of introspective melodies performed by three fine rock musicians, James Abbott, Chris Hanosh, and Bob Abbott.

Recorded in Hollywood, this 1995 national indie release became very successful, garnering much airplay throughout the southwest, most notably in the Phoenix area. "City Bitches" sounds like, well, its title. "Such A Little Girl" is the ultimate pop single, and James' "Game Of Life" sounds sooo Claptonish. I've never heard a better rock arrangement of Bob's 1975 hit "Long Way To My House," and despite its pop-rock genre, James' lead work in "Loving You Till The End" actually sears flesh.

Following the release, due to previous commitments, all three members entered colleges and med school. We hope to hear from 585-16 again very soon, as all have graduated, and rumor has it, are talking of putting another project and tour together. Keep your fingers crossed!! ~ Ian Emerick
