Birthday: September 15, 1985 Hometown: Bronx, NY Since age 11, Rich has been playing piano, the instrument that shaped his love for music. After studying classical music and theory with Dr. Febbraio at the Febbraio School of Music in Mt. Vernon, Rich has received both his Associate and Licentiate degrees in piano performance from the Trinity College of Music in London. In 2005, he received the Exhibition Award, which acknowledges the highest grade in his level out of all candidates in the world. As he developed his skill, he performed classical music (most notably Chopin) at various concerts in Mt. Vernon, Pelham Manor and other venues. Rich first performed music for a Teen Mass that he coordinated in St. Francis Xavier Parish in the Bronx. He and his friends volunteered their time for the purpose of congregating young people to celebrate Mass with lively, upbeat music. Rich has teamed up with Lynn Geyer in coordinating Harmonic Youth, a talented group of young singers and actors who have performed contemporary Christian songs and Godspell tunes, most recently for a pro-life venue in Fordham University, the school where Rich is working towards his degree in Accounting. Rich currently plays organ and piano in several Churches in the Bronx, including Our Lady of Grace and Holy Rosary Parish. It is only recently that Rich has taken singing and songwriting seriously. His debut album In the Silence contains a mix of styles and singers, staying true to his taste for rock, gospel and contemporary Christian. The album features Frank Louis Pisani, with whom Rich studies piano and songwriting. Rich has teamed up with singing and songwriting partner Sally-Ann D'Amato, who is currently recording and performing her own music, as well as topping the charts on various Internet radio stations. Rich recently attended a CAM conference (Catholic Association of Musicians) in Arkansas, during which he teamed up with four other musicians to write Jammin' for the Lord, the bonus track on his album.
