NYC performing and recording artist AMY CLARKE is a dramatic storyteller, crafting intuitive songs around sharp melodic hooks and driving percussive lines. Skillfully mixing her classical training, soulful vocals, and eclectic electronic influences, she commands a grand piano, a Yamaha S90 synth keyboard, or both, while remixing synth effects on the fly. Rick Tippett of The Washington Post says "very impressive...as always, what surfaces in (Clarke's) music is passion and soul." A native Washingtonian, Clarke started playing piano at age three. First training to be a concert pianist, she began writing her own music while appearing in professional stage shows in DC. After moving to New York, she started to play her own music out in clubs, leading to successful gigs at popular venues including The Bitter End, Pianos, The C-Note, The Duplex, PS 122, Kavehaz, Caffe Vivaldi, 169 Bar, Starlight, Slainte, M1-5, The Poet's Den, Laila Lounge, The Slipper Room, in benefits for Theatres Against War, The Sturm Und Drang Theatre Company, FHB Theater Productions, Habitat for Humanity International, on cable TV and on Sirius Satellite Radio. Clarke also recently performed a standing room only show in Washington, DC while promoting her first EP. More tour dates being announced soon. Clarke has also starred Off-Broadway, appeared in both primetime TV and film, and is currently recording and producing a new CD in her studio in Williamsburg, where she lives with two inquisitive birds and a magical garden. ***************************************** Check out the artist's website: http://www.amyclarke.com Track List: 1.
