Alexe Colbus' self-titled CD shows her signature style with vocals and piano. The collection of songs ranges from mellow originals like “Tuesday†and “Slipping Away†to a cover of Patti Smith’s “Because The Nightâ€. Her writing influence comes from Tori Amos, Norah Jones, and Bruce Springsteen. Alexe was released on June 6, 2006. New Indie Artists hosted a private concert to launch the album, which has already created buzz at Sony as well as other major labels.
