Every once in awhile, a band will surface from the basement, or emerge from the garage with that one rarified, elusive quality that sets them apart from the others; they definitely don't suck.

In a pop landscape riddled with sound-alike and angst-filled clones, ON SECOND THOUGHT has dodged the bullets of orthodoxy and imitation to come up with a sound entirely their own. Determined to avoid the norm and chart their own course, ON SECOND THOUGHT has a catalog of songs that defy categorization. Every note has been honed to a bright, gleaming point, sliding effortlessly from one genre to the next. Every chord and rhythm is thrown in to stir up the mix, to keep the music fresh and vital.

Starting in Denver and Boulder, ON SECOND THOUGHT has developed a substantial grassroots following. Their diligence and commitment to their music is matched only by their boundless energy and unbridled enthusiasm. All that work has gained ON SECOND THOUGHT national recognition including; two separate appearances on FOX TELEIVISION'S hit "Party Of Five" and reaching the finals of NBC's "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" COLLEGE BAND SEARCH.

From song to song, lyric to lyric, and beat to beat, ON SECOND THOUGHT leaps over musical boundaries with a skill and maturity that belies their relatively young ages. ON SECOND THOUGHT takes their music to the next level while inciting crowds into uncontrollable fits of butt-shaking ecstasy. The audience goes home sweaty and exhausted, crawling into bed as they ruminate over the subtle metaphors and compelling stories that had them grooving on the dance-floor.

If the band's versatility and passion of variety is still in question, you need only look at the list of band's they've played with to help establish their diverse fan base. ON SECOND THOUGHT realized early on the importance of performing in front of new audiences that were not familiar with their music. Opening for such bands as: The Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Everything, The Samples, The Ugly Americans, Guster, Mother Hips, God Street Wine, EEK-A-MOUSE, The Pat McGee Band, The Rustic Overtones, The Winebottles, Train, Ron Miles, Opie Gone Bad, Zuba, SuperDiamond, Evan & Jaron, Vertical Horizon, and Merle Saunders & The Rain Forest Band. All these shows prove the fact that ON SECOND THOUGHT feeds a wide range of musical palettes and demonstrates what they themselves have known all along... they definitely don't suck.
