Fashioning a blend of blues, jazz, and just enough pop...Apartment Three carves out a sound that puts a smile on the face. Impossible to pigeonhole, this foursome owes debts to many influences, from the Dead and Dylan to the more modern sounds of Blues Traveler. This group revels in adventurous tempos and rhythms, as in Lead You Blind, the opening cut. Its intro uses a little troubadour guitar strum that gives way to an organ-backed shuffling run... Castagnetti's drumming is fluid and versatile, while guitarists Dan Macmillan and Nik Chisholm display ample acoustic and electric chops.
