The Indigo Girls meets John Mayer (seriously, two girls and a guy), this trio of siblings have rich sonorous harmonies weaving in and out of their catchy, melodic, heartfelt tunes. Sibling Revelry first gained popularity as an acoustic college band in the 90's, traveling back and forth from their home town (Portland, Oregon) to their college town (BYU, Utah) to perform and record together. Sibling Revelry, comprised of two sisters (Skye and Courtney Pixton) and a brother (Clayton Pixton), had a sense of humor and rapport with their audience that drew fans of all types to see what was practically a variety show: filled with stories, jokes, skits, and (of course) songs. They advertised live performances with fliers bearing plucky college-student-targeted statements such as: "Modern Acoustic Jam (leave earplugs at home)" "Come treat your ears to the sweet strains of the only set of siblings in the world that never fights! We don't! Really! We swear!" "When's the last time you heard REAL music? We don't mean that styrofoam stuff that seems to fill you up but makes your stomach sore. We don't mean that stuff that leaves you with a lame faceless smile and a green brain. We don't mean that stuff pumped with ethoxylated monoglycerides and pyridoxine hydrochloride and FD&C Yellow #5. We mean real music -- good old wholesome, hearty, 7-grain stuff. Don't you owe it to yourself during finals? Make your mama proud!" "enjoying READING DAYS?
