I have always been the outsider looking in, a loner. I wait for the crowd to pass by and I watch for who is left and what they are doing. I want to turn down the volume when things are too loud and analyze what I see - quietly. Sometimes, I produce a song that is a flight of fancy, sometimes just a report from the painful side of life. I moved a lot when I was growing up: from Florida to Montreal to Chicago to New York, then from Montreal to Chicago again ( with some Europe and Israel thrown in as well). Formal piano and guitar lessons for over a decade. But it was my exposure to the Weavers, the Kingston Trio, Peter, Paul,& Mary and then the British Invasion (some of these groups are not well known:Pentangle and Renaissance). All that musical exposure and travelling made me aware of contrails: the swaths that moving objects leave behind. Check out the artist's website: http://www.shelleyorbach.com/ Track List: 1.
