This album is acoustically routed, front and center. No bass or drums, just Shawn's voice, his guitar, and whatever else was available in Glenn Matullo's tiny Orphan Studio

We think it really showcases Shawn's brilliance, as a songwriter and musician but also as a producer. It was the first time that Shawn produced alone, and he really succeeded in capturing "his sound."

During this time, Shawn was performing mostly solo and acoustic, doing monthly shows at Eddie's Attic as well as national tours. (Our budget couldn't afford putting a band out on the road back then.) This album sounds like those shows.

If you love the latest albums and haven't dug into the back catalog yet, this is the one we recommend.

The acoustic version of Shimmer is fabulous, and the title track is a favorite among fans. You won't be disappointed.
