(Import) Second solo album by Cheepskates frontman Shane Faubert is a more "difficult" listen compared to the earlier Kalkara, but yields great rewards upon repeated plays. San Blass is quieter, more introspective and somewhat sadder than anything that he had previously released, but the vocals, arrangements and his flair for the melodic hook are undiminished. Listen to "Ophelia" for sheer beauty, "The Train Song" for fun, "Hail The Sky" to get the chills. A must have for anyone who likes a little maturity and intelligence in their pop music.
