Seamus is the singer/songwriter in the San Diego band, Seamus&thePockets. While the band has high energy, Seamus' solo stuff is quiet and moody, like Chet Baker singing an Elliott Smith song. The Five Dollar Seamus is a perfect introduction to his music. "This cd was recorded to raise money to record a full band album by Seamus&thePockets. I know it's called The Five Dollar Seamus, but you've gotta understand that CD Baby keeps $4 from each cd, so $8 seemed about as high a compromise as I could make and still show my face around town. To make up for it, I've added a three dollar song that's exclusive to CD Baby. "It's for a good cause."
