pete krebs is a legend in his hometown of portland, oregon and throughout the northwest. pete cut his teeth in the notable northwest pop/punk band hazel(sub pop) in the nineties with many national and a couple of international tours and much critical acclaim- and since then has established himself in many different genres of music- from rock/pop and folk/bluegrass to gypsy jazz. his revolving all-star backing band known as "the gossamer wings" is the best way to put forth petes brilliance as a songwriter, as all the songs are given full accompaniement by the best musicians pete knows. petes solo and folk oriented material is powerful in a stark and different way- but with the gossamer wings behind him- pete can really stretch out and all the songs are fully realized. go ahead! tap your foot, pop your fingers and sing along- it's contageous!
