Stories, solos, scatting - with stylistic influences ranging from jazz through R&B, gospel and pop/rock - this is a soothing yet soulful, honest and powerful sophomore effort by the singer/songwriter/pianist, who arranged, produced and performed all the tracks himself. Oli Rockberger, a graduate of Berklee College of music (where he held the 'Quincy Jones Scholarship Award'), has performed at the Royal Albert Hall (London, 1998), Brecon Jazz Festival (Wales, 2003), The City Showcase (London, 2004), The Phoenix Jazz Festival (Japan 2001), Steinway & Sons (Boston, 2004), and toured Ecuador with his trio in 2004, culminating in a performance at the US Consulate General's residence.
