Matt Taylor is smooth autumnal blend of Van Morrison,, Nick drake, and Cold Play, combined with an unprecedented sound that is strikingly new and edgy. Raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia during the musical age of Punk Rock and skateboarding, his influences and friends led him to pick up a guitar and strum out his first few chords in a hardcore band. Needless to say Matt's style has changed quite a bit from the raging adolescent rhythms of power chords, to the remarkable ability he has acquired creating sophisticated and catchy melody lines sung with a distinct smoky voice that audiences recognize as his own.

Presently, Matt performs either as a duo with the multi-instrumentalist Chris Blasucci of Old Neighbors on electric guitar, trumpet, and harmonies or with a full band, recreating the produced sound of the album and their newest songs. With enough material for a couple albums, Blasuccci and Taylor are now polishing arrangements for a proper full length release.
