Pose While It Pops, Barbara Brousal's first full length CD, showcases her stunning voice and her love of sophisticated melody and piercing lyrics. Co-Producer Sim Cain (drummer for the original Rollins Band, David Poe, and now the re-formed JGeil's band) employs his trademark sonic and rhythmic experimentalism to evoke and unify the varying pop, jazz, folk and hillbilly sensibilities inherent in Brousal's writing and singing. Brousal's charismatic songwriting has already caught the attention of Nashville rebel Steve Earle and the second track on the record "Soap & Water" was recently recorded by Siobhan Kennedy on his ESquared label.
