The Alfred James Band weaves classical themes with soulful charm into an acoustic pop sound that is both original and musically masterful. Rich with beautiful harmonies and vocals, and intertwining the ethereal sounds of Alfred's cello with the earthy strums of acoustic guitar, the music of AJB takes acoustic rock to another level. The band released their first album, Lucky If Easy, in February 2005 and are currently playing colleges and acoustic venues up and down the East Coast to promote the new CD. Since its release, Lucky If Easy has been chosen by CD Baby as a Folky Pop Editor's Pick and has been getting 5-star reviews from Amazon.com, CD Baby, and fans new and old. The band recently did an opening spot for Bruce Hornsby at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. Their song, Better Days, is now getting airplay on 88.5 XPN, 93.7 WSTW, and on college radio across the country. Welcome to the high energy sounds of the Alfred James Band and remember, the cello isn't just for classical music anymore.
