A native of Charlotte, NC, Adelaide learned how to play the guitar at the age of 11 with the strong encouragement of her mother and sisters. Growing up she mostly played at church in the Charlotte neighborhood of Dilworth. Her powerful vocals also landed her many leading roles in the theater during high school and college. But Adelaide's love has always been in performing her original music. Her first original songs were born during her freshman year of college, with performances in college and church coffeehouses around the Raleigh, NC area.

Adelaide has been performing her original music with various bands in the Wilmington, NC area since 1997 - in local restaurants, college campuses, festivals, fairs and songwriter showcases. Drawing influences from artists such as James Taylor, Heart, Fleetwood Mac and the Indigo Girls, she demonstrates a breath of American music roots with her style of folk, blues, country and rock. She is most known for being the female force in the now defunct Wilmington based band, Picture This.

With the release of her first CD, Songs From A Tin Roof, Adelaide plans to play out more often. Although primarily a solo act, she is supported by her friend and mentor, Jim Varno, who adds crucial guitar parts and harmonies. Adelaide is also a supporting singer with the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church praise band and is active in the Kairos prison ministry in NC, where she is one of their primary music leaders.
