An explanation of the making of "BACK TO IT"

After about 10 years away from music, other than singing Twinkle Twinkle to my kids, I began to "get back to it". Oh yeah music is fun! Wow, with this computer I can make my own CD and video.

I eventually decided that it would be a digital one man band production. I wrote all the songs, played and sang all the parts (I got some help from commercially available loops for the drums and horns) and produced and recorded all of it on my computer in my basement. I also made the video myself, edited on my computer.

After I got a little ways into this project I decided that I would do the entire thing by myself. I didn't start out to do it that way, but it became kind of a challenge.

For me it's all about overcoming my limitations and creating something. And the song is at the center. A good song seems to have a life of its' own. Thanks for listening and I hope you like the songs.
