Audio Engineer extraordinaire Lucky Lew had just finished his work with Grandaddy on their recent release "Sumday" when he began collaborating with Zuzu's Petals. "We (Zuzu's Petals) were confident people would really enjoy our music IF we could capture the true emotion of our songs in the studio. Lucky Lew helped us make that possible", says Zuzu's Petals band member Eli Arrigotti. So who is this "little indie band who could", that was able to get big league help on their debut CD release? A three piece band proud to call Turlock, CA their home. Eli Arrigotti (lead guitar, bass, vocals), Paul Scofield (drums, vocals), Steve Charbonneau (lead vocals, guitar). When Zuzu's Petals was together only a few months they were getting reviews like, "with vocals that are reminiscent of Adam Duritz (Counting Crows) and an eclectic style ranging from Lenny Kravitz to Delirious?, Zuzu's Petals is fresh and displays a lyrical depth that is rare in popular music today." Steve Hartsoe [Associated Press] it was then that the band knew they were on to something. Then, in March 2003 Zuzu's Petals won the "Modesto Rocks" contest for their song, Congratulation's Day. The contest was sponsored by Clear Channel's B93.1 and the Modesto Bee. Zuzu's Petals was included on a limited edition CD and then played for 1000's of fans at a Modesto Rocks spotlight concert in May 2003. "God has blessed us and we know it!", says Zuzu's Petals band member Steve Charbonneau (lead vocals, guitar). Check out the artist's website: http://www.simplesouls.com Track List: 1.
